Middle East Trip May 2006

Hubby was posted to work at Madinah, Jeddah, Riyard and Jordan. Coincidentally, my 4 sisters went there to perform umrah and I tagged along with them at Madinah. I was in Madinah for only 3 nights cause hubby had to go to other assignment to other part of middle east. We went to Jeddah for about 5 days. From Jeddah, allhamdulillah we managed to perform umrah. Hubby had a friend which help us to perform umrah at Mecca. The journey took one hour by car from Jeddah to Mecca. These was my first time going there and for hubby was his second time. We stay at Mecca for only one day only to perform umrah after that back to Jeddah. When you reach Mecca the feeling is diffrent, as some of you who have been there would know. No words can explain and express when you are infront of the Ka'abah cause suddenly you felt like crying. FYI, I cried. ( I just got this picture from my sister)

It was short trip at Dubai after transit from Istanbul. These is my second time i have been to Dubai. We went to the largest shopping center that is Dubai Mall. The stuff over there was very expensive even the food at the food court, imagine one plate of noddle can cost you UAE Dirham $28 that is $14 in our money.

From our hotel we had to take a boat ride around 20mints to the golden horn Eminonus ferry station it cost S$ 1.30 to historical places such as Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia museum

I flew on SQ to Egypt by myself to meet Hubby in Egypt without my children. The journey to Cairo took 10 hours ! it was boring and tiring inside the plane in economy class seated in middle aisle. All expenses to Egypt was sponsered by his company (macam kerja lah tapi tak ada gaji). Actually hubby company allowed to bring spouse at some country resort. These is my second trip to egypt. One thing us Asians will notice are, that the guys are naturally, ruggedly handsome here in Egypt and the girls have a very distinct and have beautiful features like those hollywood or Italian stars. Their eyes are green, their hair auburn with long natural curls, beautifully shapped eyebrow and lucious lips.
The hotel is situated opposite the famous Red Sea which is a misnomer as the sea is actually emerald blue and very vivid. The weather was on average 22 degrees , the sun was shiny but the breeze cooling.

Hubby was posted to work at Bangkok, me and my daughters tag along but my son Fahrain had no interest to follow us cause he was so.......excited to go for his prom night graduation. Actually i been to Bangkok around 7 times since my first visit in year 2000. The most famous place to shop was at Jatujak weekend market. Every time when i went there sure to visit my favourite shop selling Thai silk material. I have been their regular customer. You can really get lost your way down there, me myself eventhough been so many time can't remember the way,the place is like 4 time football field. The tom yam gong soup was delicious (POWER) every day sure to order that in our food.

Hubby posted at Mumbai, so me and sisters tagged along . We stayed in a five star hotel which was located just opposite the sea. The hotel was grand and beautiful and the food was marvelous ( tak boleh angkat makan sampai boleh gain weight). We dare not walk outside by ourselves if we wanted to do some shopping cause banyak orang mintak sedekah and the place quite dirty. Actually its not the right time we went there cause one week before we arrived there's flood (the most horrible flood in 10 years). U know down there almost all the taxi guy just WEE WEE (past urine) along the street. We went some of the interesting places such as museum, the famous laundry place and of course the saris house which we (borong) alot of saris material.

It was rest and relax vacation(no shopping),as u can see my children still small at that picture they don't really like the place cause surrounded by sea. My hubby and both daughter fall sick on the second day of our trip. We stayed there around 4 days and decided to move on to the city of Thailand Bangkok which take two hours journey by car. I love shopping at Bangkok

Roslee (Hubby) was assigned to Middle East and his company allowed to bring along spouse. We were there for two weeks so.... i bring lah my daughter (mahal tau trip nye!!! tapi semua FOC). Hot lah kat sana but night time cold. Hot 40 deg, night around 10 deg. We were surrounded by moutains and mountains..........
